Hip, hip, hooray!
In 2026, we're celebrating 14 consecutive years of Camp Perthes. We now have camps in 4 different countries, and possibly adding a 5th & 6th in 2027-2030. Thank you to everyone who believed in us, as we continue to dream, grow, and bring joy to children with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.

Camp Perthes USA is for CHILDREN WITH LEGG-CALVE-PERTHES DISEASE only, AGES 7-15 (no siblings), Children that reside in North America only (unless special permission given by PKF)
CAMP APPLICATION 2026 DEADLINE is February 15th. Submissions after deadline will not be considered
An overnight camp with accommodations, meals, activities and gifts, provided
Camp is for kids and volunteers only, but parents are invited to visit during the week for select activities
CAMPER FEE: $575 (INCLUDES EVERYTHING, payment due by March 15th) [QR code option]
CAMP FACILITY: Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, near Los Angeles (Orange, CA)
LOCATION: Los Angeles / Irvine area. Nearby Airports: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is just around 30 mins from camp (Long Beach and Orange County airports also nearby), PKF does not provide transportation to/from airport
CAMP STARTS: Monday, June 29th @ 3pm
CAMP FIELD TRIP: Wednesday, July 1st (amusement park TBD)
CAMP ENDS: Friday, July 3rd @ 11am
Volunteer (age 19+) & CIT (ages 16-18) applications will be available some time in early March.

Rules, regulations, schedules, and other camp requirements, will be sent via email over the next few weeks. Please follow us on social media for other updates and announcements. We will also email info through our Perthes Brief, so please sign up for that, as well.
Photos, videos, and other media of your child, may be used and freely shared on our social media channels, so in order to apply to Camp Perthes, all parents must agree to these terms.
Camp Volunteer applications are available in early April. You must be at least 19 years old, with a valid driver's license, to apply. There have been a few rule changes and guidelines for volunteers, so if interested, please sign up for our camp email list to receive information about applying in June.
Again, USA Camp Applications are due by February 15th @ 9pm PT. Applications we receive after that date will not be accepted.
